How do I read other people's blogs?

Click on [I am a nosy person]. It's nothing to be ashamed of, maybe you aren't nosy but just want to read them anyway. John/my blog is "what cluck to wear" and is about the charming Trinny and Susannah. You can post (nice) comments.

How do I get a blog, and what is it?

Go to [here] After you've got excited and signed up for it, you may want to know that it is an online diary so me and other nosy people can find out about you and your chicken experiences. If you don't have an interest in chickens, why are you looking at the site? I suppose you could have one anyway as we are nice :-) There is a very comprehensive explanation of what a blog is from Wiki, but if you're like me you probably couldn't be bothered reading it as it looked very long, boring and technical - that's fine cos I've just saved you the effort in the two words "online diary." Edit comments as you would in the [edit] section.

I can't find any conceivable way of logging in!

Maybe it's just me! Go to [blogin] - sorry I like puns. If you're like me you probbaly want to bookmark it in your browser so that you can find it again. Fill in your username/password to login. There is some text that says the name of your blog in big letters, after the word "login." Click on your blog name and it will take you to a new post. You can click on "posts" to see your previous posts. N.B. there is a drop down menu that allows you to set the date of posts shown, if you don't set this it looks like most of your posts have disappeared!

How do I add pictures to my blog?

Aggghhhhhh!!!! Don't panic! (points for geek reference) Hardest bit so far, but I'll get you through it, I had to teach John the computer genius this one (smug moment). Click on the icon for pictures (picture of mountain in a frame). Paste in the URL of your picture-it has to be on a website yes. Scroll down and click "OK." Simple-eh!

Can I save pictures on the site to add to my blog?

Yes. Click on "resources" at the top of the page. Click on "new album" to create an album. Click on "new resource" to add your photo. Click on "browse" to add the location of the file on your computer. Select the album you want it to be added to (yes I think you do need to create an album). Click "add." To add one of these pictures click on the "add resource" button (picture of mountain in 3D on a piece of paper)

What does the "toggle HTML source" button do?

I don't know, it sounds scary!
